The little help provided by Novak and his foundation will go help the ailing girl get proper medical care. Novak Djokovic collaborated with businessman Miodrag Kostic. Novak and Miodrag financed a jet to get the ailing girl to the US for medical care.
The gesture deeply moved the girl’s parents. Talking to essentiallysports.com, Sofija’s mother said they are grateful to Miodrag Kostić and his company and Novak Djoković. It was all for a better future of their girl. With air travel restrictions because of COVID -19, it would not have been possible to travel to the USA.

It was an amazing act of kindness by Novak Djokovic to help Sofia get to the United States. Interestingly the tennis star has, in the past, also earned accolades for his charity. In 2014, Djokovic donated the $750,000 he won from the Italian Open for relief efforts for a flood in Serbia. In March 2020, Novak Djokovic and Jelena Djokovic also donated €1 million through the Novak Djokovic Foundation. The fund was to purchase ventilators and medical equipment. The equipment will support hospitals and other medical institutions in their battle against coronavirus in Serbia.
