Many of America’s largest corporates are responding to public demand to donate to anti-racism campaigns and openly stand by the black community after the death of George Floyd.
Companies Giving Their Support
Here’s a list of corporates who have donated generously to the cause, according to Forbes.com.
The Home Depot has given $1 million to the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law.
Gaming company EA has guaranteed $1 million. Square Enix has donated $250,000 and is matching employee donations to Black Lives .
United Health Group is donating $5 million to the YMCA Equity Innovation Center of Excellence. The group has also pledged another $5 million plus 25,000 hours of employee volunteer time, to help reconstruct businesses in Twin Cities neighborhoods hit by protests.
The Power of Helping in Hard Times
Facebook pledged $10 million to organizations campaigning for racial justice. Amazon will donate a total of $10 million to organizations that are working to bring about social justice.
Walmart announced a $100 million donation over five years through a new center on racial equity, said CEO Doug McMillon.

Inspiring Support
Intel is donating $1 million to community efforts supporting racial injustice including Black Lives Matter and the Centre for Policing Equity.
Beauty company Glossier has committed $500,000 to Black Lives Matter and another $500,000 to support black-owned companies.
Other beauty firms have also made more modest contributions to anti-racism efforts, including DECIEM, which promised $100,000 to the NAACP and BLM, SheaMoisture which guaranteed a further $100,000 to activists protesting for social change, and Sunday Riley, which is donating $50,000 to the NAACP. e.l.f. Beauty is donating $25,000 to Color of Change.

Fitness company Peloton is donating $500,000 to the NAACP’s legal defense fund, CEO John Foley said.
Levi’s is donating $100,000 to the ACLU and a further $100,000 to the mass confinement campaign group Live Free USA.
Clothing retailer Banana Republic has donated $250,000 to the NAACP and EmbraceRace.
These companies, and more, are doing good by supporting these causes. History is being written pretty much daily. Our history is important, our past history and what is being written now. We are all equal in God’s eyes and all lives matter to him. That is what matters most…always!
