Amazon On A Hiring Spree

CBS News reports that Amazon has 33,000 corporate and technology jobs open across the nation. People can learn about these positions on September 16. An Amazon spokesperson told CBS MoneyWatch by email that the jobs will offer a total annual compensation of $150,000. This also includes salary and stock awards.

Beth Galetti, senior vice president, human resources, said in a statement regarding the online job fair, “COVID-19 continues to affect millions of people across the country. However, people are eager for the opportunity to get back to work. We are continuing to hire people from all backgrounds and at all skill levels.”

Aspirants can participate in the forthcoming job events by registering and booking an appointment online with an Amazon recruiter. One thousand recruiters are conducting 20,000 career coaching sessions in a single day.

The event is not only about individual coaching sessions. It will also include panel discussions and interviews with career experts and company executives. Potential aspirants can also register for software code review workshops and breakout sessions to learn about jobs in Amazon’s logistics network from Wednesday.

Incidentally, the fair was conducted last year also. It attracted 17000 people to locations in six cities. More than 200,000 candidat3s applied for jobs in the week leading up to the event.
