Tax Holiday Welcomed By Locals
The tax holiday began on Friday and will run through Sunday, August 9, 2020. The weekend event will enable shoppers to purchase clothing, books, and supplies for the forthcoming academic year.
The intelligencer reports that there is no limit on the amount of total purchase as long as the purchased items figure in the qualified items list. The entire order will be tax-free.
The newspaper quoted the Ohio Department of Taxation to this effect.
Joe Bell, the spokesman for the Ohio Valley Mall’s parent company Cafaro Co, spoke to the intelligencer. It said that this is a hectic weekend, and people purchase a lot of things as the new academic year is going to start across the nation.
