In solidarity with those doing good deeds of kindness, celebrities are also doing everything possible to mobilize resources. They are leveraging the power of influence to encourage others to come forward in helping those on edge.

Lady Gaga

The singer worked with the WHO to help in organizing a benefit concert in April. Grammy award winner pop singer is working with the Global Citizen organization to raise over $35 million. The funds will go toward buying protective equipment for frontline workers.

Stephen and Ayesha Curry

There are thousands of children who depend on school food for sustenance. Since schools are closed, and there is an alternative mechanism in place, the Stephen and Ayesha Curry couple launched online fundraiser titled Feeding America to help those children. In just a few days of launch on April 2, the couple managed to raise over $160,000.

Rihanna

Rihanna founded The Clara Lionel Foundation in 2012 in memory of her grandparents. She donated $5 million through the foundation to Direct Relief and Feeding America. Some of the fund money will be allocated to the WHO’s Solidarity Response Fund.

Leonardo DiCaprio

Joblessness is rampant across America as businesses are struggling to remain aloft in the crisis. Actor, in association with Laurene Powell Jobs, launched a charity program titled America’s Food Fund. The idea is to help low income families, jobless people, and children dependant on school meals. The initiative raised over $12 million to help struggling communities.

Oprah Winfrey

The famous talk-show host and known philanthropist donated $10 million towards relief works. Besides, she donated $1 million to America’s Food Fund. In her Instagram post, she wrote, “I believe that America’s Food Fund will be a powerful way to make a difference for our neighbors in need.”

Celebrities are also doing everything possible to mobilize the resources required to provide immediate help. It is not the amount, but the intent to help others makes one a real star. You can also be a star by doing good whatever way you could. Just take a step forward and be good to others.
